technology domain. Many of our diverse solutions contain a highly
significant contractor element to meet project needs.
Graduate RecruitmentElan manages the Graduate
sourcing programme for one of its major clients, sourcing UK &
International candidates for its market leading engineering and
business management teams
Supplier Rationalisation, Migration and
NovationElan is the most experienced resourcing business
in the migration and novation process, with over 5000 individuals
successfully transitioned to Elan. Elan has extensive expertise in
reducing highly inefficient supplier bases of 150+ to a low volume
(5-25) level whilst providing dramatic improvements in delivery
performance by the resourcing supply chain.
Subject Matter Experts & Niche Skillset
DeliveryIn 2007 Elan sourced over 300 different skillsets
for its customers in Defence and Aerospace across over 75
locations, testament to our ability to use our resourcing processes
to tackle any challenges in delivering individuals such as Systems
Engineers, Hardware Team Leaders, Trade Compliance Officers (ITAR),
Range Workers, Bi-lingual Bid Support staff, Programme Directors,
Military & Regulatory Body Advisors, Supply Chain and
Purchasing specialists.
Employed Consultant Model (ECM)Business are now
looking to engage resources for a longer period of time to meet the
project need without hiring permanent staff due to redundancy costs
or risks to the future revenue stream from the project (e.g.
Assessment Phase). Elan has over 1500 Employed Consultants across
Europe who are Elan employees, but seconded to our clients for a
defined period to meet a project need. There is often a significant
cost saving attached to this method of labour engagement, along
with reduced risk – both in project delivery and deemed employment
- for the Client.
Recruitment Day PartnerElan has great experience
in designing and managing effective recruitment days for clients,
both in technical and non-technical, low and high volume
requirements. This improved the market perception of our customers
and reduces the time to fill rates for our clients
Programme PartnerElan works with clients on
specific projects to tackle programme needs such as demand
forecasting, job description construction, recruitment process
design, internet site development in order to deliver the required
volumes of staff to programmes
Tactical Project Support & Project TeamsOften
projects require additional support at short notice due to
technical challenges that cannot be overcome by the existing team,
illness, resignations or maternity/paternity cover. Elan is able to
provide specialists or complete teams to overcome these challenges
and ensure tasks stay on track
Mobility & Bench ManagementClients are often
challenged by project planning and resource allocation issues due
to project slippages, client sign off delays or a change in the
focus of business from traditional skillsets. Managing internal
mobility of staff in a business is one of the most significant

Bid SupportOur client often require additional
resource to answer specific technical questions in Bids; to conduct
independent analysis such as Red Team reviews of the proposal to
date, or to ensure the Bid is in the style required of the
assessment team. Elan is able to provide experts with proven bid
winning backgrounds to support our clients and increased their
order books.
Joint Ventures, Partnerships & Framework
AgreementsElan has a successful track record in winning
bids by working in partnership with clients in a named or un-named
capacity. Recently these have included wins with NATO, the DCSA, a
Government Communications department and DSTL.
Outplacement supportDefence projects often require
distinctly different skills for a period of years in programmes,
and Elan has a proven record in redeploying staff from businesses
to other companies in the sector after their skills are no longer
required to the satisfaction of all parties.
Total Cost of Labour ConsultancyMany companies
view their resource spend as contractor invoicing or permanent fees
paid, without examining the costs spent on advertising, marketing,
training, IT setup costs, graduate programmes, internal HR costs or
wasted staff time through unsuccessful interviews and CV review
which greatly increase this figure. Elan has proven tools that
examine how to reduce this total cost and drive business
improvement concurrently
Recruitment Campaign ManagementClients may be
looking to increase the size of their permanent headcount due to a
